Fresh Herbs CAN be for You!

Did you know? Most of our culinary herbs started out as medicinal! Certainly we’ve got herbs that have been used exclusively for medicines for thousands of years. Fresh or dried? LOCAL herbs are great this time of here in all their glory, so learn how the use them in Sun Tea, salads and cooking or grilling. Fresh and Local Leaves…

Freshly dried Meadowsweet leaves are green with the underside silvery. The buds turn a golden yellow. I’m hand crushing this great anti-inflammatory plant that has an aroma that is reminiscent of cucumbers…ahh. A new batch of Old Bones Blend coming up for the winter market 9-2. Get it straight up, with Hindu Hillbilly’s honey and Balsamic vinegar for a twist!

Tis the season to keep warm!

We’re featuring a new recipe each week to help you to see how to incorporate herbs into your everyday healthy life style on Instagram. They’re based on our six basic Gourmet Herb blends. And you’ll be able to sample and buy a cup of a featured Wellness Tea Blend. We’re doing something different there too. You can try it with honey and Balsamic vinegar! I love kombucha in the warm weather but in the winter a hot tea with vinegar is different and great…try it at the Missoula Valley Winer Market, Saturdays 9-2 at the concourse by Scheels at the Southgate mall!

Vinegar and Hot Tea…Try it!

Been doing some research this week… just looking at Google. We’ll be serving different Wellness Tea Blends in the next few weeks with the option of enhancing them with a little honey and vinegar. I’m experimenting with Gettin’ Up & Out Tonic this week come to the booth at the Missoula Valley Winter Market between 9 am-2 pm and try! Balsamic vinegar:Popularly used as a salad dressing, balsamic vinegar is prepared from reduced grape juice and all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients of the fruit are present in this vinegar. This is one of the healthiest and most nutritious varieties of vinegar. Gettin’ up and out for family!

Now that many of us are so full of the bounty of harvest from our celebration of Thanksgiving… time for Thanksliving! We’re starting out the season with the 26th Sentinel’s Holiday Craft Fair. If it grows in our West Missoula herb garden, we’ve got it dried in all sorts of innovative arrangements, blends and teas. You can get gifts with holiday packaging and we’ll be selling our Gettin’ Up and Out Tonic in commemoration. Join all the great vendors to start off this festive time!
