What are you interested in learning this season?
VOLUNTEER LEARNING
SESSIONS ARE FOR ANYONE
Outdoor Volunteer Learning Sessions
When you arrive, you’ll be given a plant key with some categories and assigned a task to work with a partner. When we’re outside you can learn about preparing, planting, maintenance and harvesting up to 130 herbs that can grow in the Missoula area!
Indoor Volunteer Learning Sessions
When you arrive, we’ll meet at the Crafting room. We will work together there on wellness herb projects. You’ll be working with myself or another knowledgeable intern so ask away while we work! Most jobs will be specific to a category of herbs so you can get familiar with them personally. Even if we’re not in the growing mode, we’re happy to share our knowledge of herbs we process too!
Receive your $8 appreciation gift certificate of a free bag of herbs during the U Picks this year or toward a purchase in the Crafting room.
Outdoor Volunteer Learning Sessions are usually held April – October, Indoor Volunteer Learning Sessions are usually held November – March.
The short story is that we have 3 hour pm sessions during the week. if you need to come in the morning, arrangements can be made. Longer sessions are available on Sundays and early week. See this file below for details on everything this season!
Now, for Internships…
Volunteers, either Students or Non-Students usually take home sample herbs for your contribution. When you sign up for any internship, we’ll keep track of your hours so you can apply them to any program where they will be applicable. After 12 hours of volunteering you get 50% off in our store for as long as you’re active. Learn and grow with us!
